Chocolate Bonnie

Closeup of Chocolate Bonnie's face

Chocolate Bonnie is a seasonal variant of the classic Bonnie animatronic, introduced as part of FNaF AR: Special Delivery during the Easter event. As one of the Easter-themed skins, Chocolate Bonnie captures the strange yet compelling contrast of a whimsical holiday aesthetic with the eerie, broken-down animatronics. While he doesn’t fit directly into the core Five Nights at Freddy’s lore, Chocolate Bonnie’s aggressive behavior adds a dark twist to his festive design, making him a fan favorite during the event.

Physical Appearance

Chocolate Bonnie is an eye-catching and unique re-imagining of the original Bonnie, designed to look like a hollow chocolate Easter bunny. His body is made of dark chocolate, giving him a glossy, smooth surface that contrasts with the rough, damaged sections of his design.

  • Chocolate Body: The entirety of Chocolate Bonnie’s form is designed to resemble a chocolate rabbit, with a deep brown, almost glossy surface. His chocolate exterior is cracked in several places, revealing the sharp and unsettling contrast of his inner metal endoskeleton.
  • Candy Accents: Instead of traditional animatronic features, Chocolate Bonnie’s buttons are replaced with brightly colored candy, like vibrant, oversized candies used in desserts. These candy pieces replace the buttons running down his chest, adding to his playful yet creepy appearance. His nose and the insides of his ears are also depicted as glossy candy, contributing to the overall sweet yet strange visual.
  • Damaged and Chipped Sections: The most notable feature of Chocolate Bonnie’s design is the missing chunks from his body. Several areas of his chocolate shell are cracked or have entire pieces missing, most notably a large section taken out of his left torso and parts of his arms and legs. These missing chunks expose the metallic endoskeleton beneath the chocolate, which gives him a disquieting, decaying look that feels out of place for what would otherwise be a festive character.
  • Endoskeleton Details: Visible through the cracks and missing sections of his body, Chocolate Bonnie’s endoskeleton is in stark contrast to the sweet, candy-like exterior. The exposed metalwork serves as a reminder of his robotic nature and undercuts the otherwise playful design with a more unsettling, mechanical reality.

Mechanic

In FNaF AR: Special Delivery, Chocolate Bonnie behaves similarly to the original Bonnie in terms of gameplay mechanics. However, Chocolate Bonnie exhibits much more aggressive tendencies during his encounters, as evidenced by the in-game emails where his behavior is explicitly described as more hostile.

  • Aggressive Behavior: Chocolate Bonnie shares Bonnie’s basic mechanics, but his aggression is dialed up significantly, making him faster and more erratic in his movements. Players need to use the same strategies to fend off Bonnie but must be more alert due to Chocolate Bonnie’s quicker attack patterns and less predictable behavior.
  • Heightened Threat: The increased aggression not only adds difficulty but also differentiates him from the original Bonnie, making him a more formidable and challenging opponent in Special Delivery.
