Physical Appearance
Snow Chica is a frosty, snowman-inspired version of Chica, designed with a unique wintery twist. Her appearance is simultaneously cheerful and haunting, giving off both a festive and eerie vibe.
- Head: She wears a red and white striped beanie snugly atop her snowball head, with green eyebrows that contrast with the cold palette of her design. Her eyes are black coal, unblinking and cold, while her teeth are jagged, black, and made from coal, giving her an unsettling smile.
- Body: Snow Chica’s torso is made up of two snowballs in her Funko POP! form, but in her action figure form, she is built more like a traditional animatronic, albeit covered in melting snow. She has three pieces of coal as buttons on her chest.
- Scarf & Gloves: A red and white striped scarf, matching her beanie, is wrapped around her neck, fluttering as though caught in a perpetual gust of wind. Her gloves are mismatched in color — a mixture of blue, gray, and white, resembling the icy tones of a winter storm.
- Arms & Legs: Her joints in both her arms and legs are made of brittle sticks, giving her a slightly skeletal appearance. In her action figure form, her legs are full-length, constructed from sticks, but they remain brittle and thin, with oversized black boots encasing her feet.
- Melting: Snow Chica appears to be slowly melting, with slushy patches running down her form, making her seem as though she might collapse into a puddle at any moment, adding to the sense of urgency in-game.
Mechanic
Snow Chica’s presence in the game is tied closely to the environment, creating a time-sensitive and atmospheric challenge.
- Lumber Co. Camera: Snow Chica’s mechanic is connected to the Lumber Co. camera, where snow is seen constantly falling. Over time, this snow begins to pile up and mysteriously takes on the shape of Snow Chica herself.
- Building Snow Chica: As snow continues to fall, objects such as pieces of coal, a hat, and scarf start hovering in the air, as though caught in a strong wind. These are parts of Snow Chica waiting to assemble. The trick here is to prevent these objects from fully forming into Snow Chica by managing the environment.
- Tree Growth Mechanic: If you allow the trees to grow, they’ll block the wind, causing these hovering objects to fall into place, thus creating Snow Chica’s full form. Letting this happen isn’t good for you—once she’s fully formed, she becomes a major threat.
- Temperature Threat: An additional mechanic revolves around the temperature. If it gets too high while Snow Chica exists, she will melt, but this comes with a consequence: the melting triggers a game over. You need to maintain an optimal cold temperature to ensure Snow Chica doesn’t meet this fate, balancing your time carefully between managing both her form and the room’s temperature.
- Survival Goal: The main objective is to survive the night by keeping Snow Chica from fully forming or overheating. If you can make it through without her being fully created, or without causing her to melt, you win! The challenge lies in keeping control of the environment as Snow Chica slowly materializes in the snowstorm.
